FITZ & CO has developed and continues to implement the communications strategy for the iconic Parrish Art Museum of Long Island’s East End. From media relations for the Parrish’s important exhibitions, to positioning the Museum as an accessible art destination, to promoting the Museum’s summer gala, the Parrish has enjoyed a surge in media coverage, and increased attendance since the campaign began.
In summer 2010, FITZ & CO lead a national media campaign for the groundbreaking of the Parrish Art Museum’s new $25 million Herzog & de Meuron-designed facility. The monumental occasion was attended by New York Governor David A. Paterson, other State and Local Government Officials, members of the media, and major donors. With the new facility expected to open in 2012, FITZ & CO continues to work on the promotion of the Parrish Art Museum’s new building through strategic outreach and long-term relationship building.
Additionally, FITZ & CO managed the media relations for the Parrish Art Museum’s annual Midsummer Party. The sold-out gala was attended by prominent guests from the worlds of art, fashion, Hollywood, business, and philanthropy, marking itself in the media as one of the Hampton’s most noted summer events.
FITZ & CO media placements on the Parrish Art Museum’s exhibitions and events include: Artinfo, Artnet, Bloomberg.com, Elle Décor, Huffington Post, Interior Design, Manhattan Magazine, New York Post, Plum TV, The New York Observer, The New York Times, The New Yorker, The Wall Street Journal, Time Out New York, Vanity Fair.com, WWD, and more.
