Aspen Art Museum

Since 2008, FITZ & CO has created and implemented an influential public relations campaign for the Aspen Art Museum including exhibitions by artists such as Mamma Anderson, Peter Coffin, Jim Hodges, Sergej Jensen, Mai Thu Perret, and Fred Tomaselli. As a result of the successful campaign, the Aspen Art Museum’s profile has been significantly raised and the Museum has been featured in numerous publications including Art + Auction, Artforum, Artinfo.com, Modern Painters, New York Observer, Town & Country, W Magazine, and Wall Street Journal. FITZ & CO provides the Aspen Art Museum with strategic advice and counsel regarding the launch strategy for the Museum’s new, multi-year building project by Shigeru Ban in Aspen’s Core.

FITZ & CO manages media relations for the Museum’s annual fundraiser, artCRUSH, which brings the world’s top art collectors, artists and wine aficionados to Aspen for three days of stellar events that take place on the grounds of the Aspen Art Museum. Since our collaboration began, artCRUSH has grown in both attendance by artworld luminaries, and revenue generated for the Museum. FITZ & CO successfully secured and manages an important ongoing sponsorship for Aspen Art Museum’s artCRUSH events.

“Sometimes it seems like America’s second city for the art world must be Aspen, Colorado, so enthusiastic are the art projects mounted in the ski resort, especially those associated with the indefatigable Aspen Art Museum.” – artnet.com
